Large Indonesian Marcasite Slab on Custom Stand | No. 3

This incredible Large Indonesian Marcasite Slab #3 weighs approximately 628g and measures around 16 × 16cm, presented on a custom gold-toned display stand.

This is a wonderfully substantial piece, with broad areas of soft blue-grey and blue-green mineralisation running through a rich matrix of rust, copper, burgundy and earthy brown. Look more closely and there is an extraordinary amount of detail, from tiny lace-like formations to contrasting pockets and metallic-looking inclusions scattered throughout the stone.

Both sides have been polished to reveal completely different formations, while sections of the rugged natural edge have been retained around the slab. The result is a beautiful balance between raw mineral specimen and polished display piece.

At 628g, this is the largest of the three Indonesian Marcasite slabs in this collection and has fantastic presence. Displayed on its custom stand, it makes a striking centrepiece for a crystal shelf, altar, cabinet or mineral collection.
