A beautifully polished Afghanistan Jade tower weighing approximately 121g and standing around 10cm tall, featuring delicate layers of soft green, cream and translucent white.

This piece has particularly beautiful, even banding running horizontally through the stone. Fine cream lines alternate with muted pistachio and sage-green layers, creating an almost softly striped appearance from the base right through to the polished point.

Despite its trade name, Afghanistan Jade is not true jade. The name is commonly used within the crystal trade for decorative green stone from Afghanistan, often composed of varieties of calcite or serpentine. Its subtle colouring and natural layered patterns make it especially beautiful when cut and polished into towers.
