Afghanistan Jade Tower | No. 1

A beautifully patterned Afghanistan Jade tower weighing approximately 121g and standing around 10cm tall.

This elegant piece features soft pistachio and sage-green tones layered with incredibly fine bands of cream and translucent white. The delicate horizontal patterning runs almost the entire length of the tower, giving it a wonderfully serene, earthy appearance while the polished point highlights the natural layers within the stone.

Despite its trade name, Afghanistan Jade is not true jade. The name is commonly used within the crystal trade for decorative green stone from Afghanistan, often composed of varieties of calcite or serpentine. Its beautiful colouring and distinctive banding make it particularly striking when polished into towers like this one.
