Fire Quartz Sphere | No. 5

A beautiful Fire Quartz sphere, weighing approximately 107g and measuring around 4.5cm. This piece has a much softer, more ethereal appearance than some of our deeper red Fire Quartz, with beautifully clear Quartz revealing delicate rusty-red and earthy hematite inclusions suspended throughout.

Turn the sphere through the light and you'll also find tiny internal rainbows appearing amongst its natural fractures, adding little flashes of colour against the otherwise soft, almost smoky-clear Quartz. The contrast between the clearer areas and concentrated iron-rich inclusions makes this a particularly interesting little sphere to explore from every angle.

Fire Quartz

Fire Quartz, also known as Hematoid Quartz, is Quartz containing natural hematite or iron oxide inclusions. These inclusions can vary dramatically from delicate wisps and earthy patches to vivid orange, rust and deep red formations, meaning no two pieces ever look quite the same.

Within crystal traditions, Fire Quartz is often associated with grounding, confidence, courage and focused energy. The combination of Quartz and hematite is traditionally believed to bring together the clarity associated with Quartz and the stabilising qualities associated with hematite.
