Fire Quartz Sphere | No. 2

A beautiful Fire Quartz sphere, weighing approximately 230g and measuring around 5.5cm. This polished sphere combines rich rust red, burnt orange and copper-toned Hematite inclusions with areas of beautifully clear Quartz, creating completely different views as the piece is turned.

One side is particularly deep and fiery, with dense red and orange inclusions appearing almost suspended within the Quartz. Turn the sphere and it opens into lighter, clearer sections where the internal structure becomes much more visible, with fractures and reflective surfaces catching the light to reveal little rainbow flashes throughout.

Fire Quartz is also known as Hematoid Quartz, a variety of Quartz coloured by natural Hematite inclusions. The contrast between the darker mineral-rich areas and clear Quartz makes each specimen completely individual, particularly in polished spheres where the inclusions can be viewed from every angle.
