Black Tourmaline in Quartz Point | Pakistan

A striking natural Black Tourmaline in Quartz point from Pakistan, featuring multiple jet-black Tourmaline crystals growing through and alongside a beautifully formed Quartz crystal.

The contrast on this little specimen is brilliant. The main Quartz point is pale and translucent with a natural termination, while several sharply defined Black Tourmaline crystals interrupt the otherwise icy formation.

Look closely and you can see the Tourmaline occurring in several different ways across the specimen. Some crystals emerge directly from the surface of the Quartz, while others appear partially enclosed within it, allowing you to see the natural relationship between the two minerals as the crystal formed.

The largest exposed Tourmaline crystal retains its characteristic longitudinal striations, with several smaller black crystals visible around the opposite face. Internal veils, fractures and growth features throughout the Quartz catch the light and give the point plenty of natural texture.

A compact but genuinely interesting mineral specimen, particularly for collectors who love seeing different minerals occurring together in their natural formation.
