XL Statement Fire Quartz Crescent Moon

A striking XL Fire Quartz crescent moon displayed on its own custom gold metal stand. At approximately 28cm tall overall, this is a substantial statement piece with beautiful transparency, internal texture and rich flashes of rust red and burnt orange running through the Quartz.

The crescent has been polished to reveal the internal landscape of the stone, with clear to softly smoky Quartz crossed by dramatic iron-rich inclusions. Deep red formations gather around the outer edges and sweep through the centre, while fractures and veils within the Quartz catch the light as the piece is viewed from different angles.

Fire Quartz, also known as Hematoid Quartz, forms when iron oxides such as Hematite become included within Quartz. These inclusions can create everything from fine wisps and clouds to the bold red, orange and earthy formations seen throughout this specimen.

The crescent shape has been paired with a custom gold-toned stand that follows the curve of the moon, turning the specimen into a complete display piece. Its combination of transparency, fiery mineral inclusions and large sculptural form makes it particularly striking when positioned somewhere it can catch natural light.

Fire Quartz

In crystal traditions, Fire Quartz combines the clarity associated with Quartz with the grounding qualities traditionally attributed to Hematite. It is often associated with focus, confidence, grounding and bringing scattered energy back into balance.
