An extraordinary XL Pink Aragonite with Hematite Statement Freeform, weighing an impressive 1.33kg and standing approximately 18cm tall.
This is a true statement piece. One side is dominated by intensely saturated pink Aragonite, ranging from soft blush and lilac-pink through to vivid candy pink, with translucent areas, natural crystalline texture and pale mineral veining visible throughout the polished face.
Turn the piece around and it completely transforms. A dramatic expanse of dark metallic Hematite and natural matrix covers much of the reverse, creating an incredible contrast against the surrounding pink Aragonite. Earthy brown and cream matrix, darker mineral inclusions and flashes of metallic lustre make the reverse every bit as interesting as the front.
Rather than being cut into a uniform shape, this piece has been polished to follow its natural formation. The sweeping curves, raised edges, exposed matrix and irregular silhouette preserve much of its raw character while allowing the colour and internal structure of the Aragonite to shine through.
