Black Tourmaline with Feldspar & Quartz | Pakistan

A beautiful natural Black Tourmaline with Feldspar and Quartz specimen from Pakistan, featuring a striking terminated Tourmaline crystal rising from a contrasting pale mineral matrix.

The star of this piece is the glossy jet-black Tourmaline crystal, with its distinctive longitudinal striations beautifully visible along the surface. Its dark colour stands out dramatically against chunky white Feldspar crystals and naturally formed clear to slightly smoky Quartz points.

Turn the specimen around and there is plenty more to discover. Larger Quartz crystals form part of the structure of the piece, while blocky white Feldspar crystals grow throughout the matrix. A second smaller Black Tourmaline crystal can also be seen emerging lower down amongst the Feldspar.

It's a brilliant example of several minerals occurring together naturally, rather than simply a loose Black Tourmaline crystal. The contrast between glassy Quartz, pearly white Feldspar and sharply defined black Tourmaline gives this little specimen loads of character despite its compact size.
