As the crystal is turned in the light, subtle flashes of pink, green, yellow and blue appear across its internal surfaces.

Optical Calcite is a variety of Calcite known for its remarkable transparency and optical properties. Its rhombohedral cleavage creates distinctive geometric formations, while its strong birefringence, or double refraction, can make objects viewed through clear sections appear doubled.

The internal fractures and reflective surfaces of this specimen create beautiful rainbow effects, making it particularly interesting to explore under different lighting conditions.

Traditional Crystal Associations

Golden Calcite is traditionally associated with confidence, motivation and personal empowerment.

Connected with the Solar Plexus Chakra, it is believed to encourage self-belief, positivity and the confidence to pursue new opportunities.

Its warm golden tones are also associated with abundance, creativity and personal growth, making it a popular choice for intention setting and crystal displays.

Product Details

Crystal: Golden Optical Calcite

Piece: No. 2

Price: £17.00

Formation: Natural rhombohedral cleavage

Colour: Pale golden yellow and champagne

Clarity: Translucent with transparent sections

Features: Natural internal rainbow flashes, geometric crystal faces and visible cleavage planes

Finish: Raw / Natural

You will receive the exact Golden Optical Calcite specimen pictured.
