golden-optical-calcite-no-1
Golden Optical Calcite | No. 1

A beautiful piece of Golden Optical Calcite, displaying soft champagne-yellow tones, translucent crystal faces and delicate natural rainbow flashes that catch the light as the stone is turned.

Weighing 51g, this specimen showcases the fascinating optical properties of Calcite. Its naturally formed rhombohedral structure creates angular faces and internal cleavage planes, allowing light to travel through the crystal and reveal intricate internal reflections.

Look closely and you'll discover subtle flashes of pink, blue, violet and gold appearing across its internal fractures. These rainbow effects are caused by light interacting with the crystal's natural internal structures, adding an extra layer of beauty to its already impressive clarity.

Optical Calcite is particularly fascinating because of its strong double refraction, also known as birefringence. When placed over writing or a patterned surface, transparent sections can produce a doubled image as light passes through the crystal.

Traditional Crystal Associations

Golden Calcite is traditionally associated with confidence, motivation and positive energy.

Often connected with the Solar Plexus Chakra, it is believed to encourage self-belief, personal empowerment and a brighter outlook.

Its warm golden colouring also makes it a popular choice for those working with intentions surrounding abundance, creativity and personal growth.

Product Details

Crystal: Golden Optical Calcite

Piece: No. 1

Weight: 51g

Formation: Natural rhombohedral crystal

Colour: Pale golden yellow and champagne

Clarity: Translucent to transparent areas

Features: Natural internal rainbow flashes and cleavage planes

Finish: Raw, with natural crystal faces

You will receive the exact Golden Optical Calcite specimen pictured.
